Other development/project costs
The New Rules of Measurement (NRM) are published by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). They provide a standard set of measurement rules for estimating, cost planning, procurement and whole-life costing for construction projects.
According to NRM2: Detailed measurement for building works, other development/project costs are:
| ...costs that are not necessarily directly associated with the cost of constructing the building, but form part of the total cost of the building project to the employer (e.g. land acquisition costs, fees for letting agents, marketing costs and contributions associated with planning permissions). |
